The Spirit of The Antichrist

The Spirit of The Antichrist

Antichrist- against Christ

Anti- against

Christ- Jesus of Nazareth, held by Christians to be the fulfillment of prophecies in the Old Testament regarding the eventual coming of a Messiah, the Son of God, the 2nd person of the trinity, the Redeemer of the world, the Giver of life, the living Word, the true Vine, the Bread of Life.

Perhaps the question comes to mind, "How can I be or be in the presence of the spirit of the Antichrist, I know Jesus and acknowledge Him?"

My answer is very thought provoking.  Just because one says Jesus is Lord, the Son of Man, the Redeemer, etc.; does not mean that they have made their Lord and their temple is the dwelling place of Jesus Christ.  It is unfortunate that this has to be explained in great detail.  Just because one admits that Jesus is real does not mean they accept and apply Him in their life.  We must go to the Scripture to gain insight to this growing epidemic of false teaching, false doctrine, false prophecy, and all other acts that go against God.  Each item mentioned in the previous sentence are all evidences of the spirit of the Antichrist.  In 2 John 1:7 calls the Antichrist a deceiver one who misleads by a false appearance or statement or one who is unfaithful of Christ.

Don't fret, I know the question is still lingering, there's more keep reading.

You confess Jesus right? Of course, the well-known scripture is Romans 10: 9 & 10:

…that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised…

(I'm stopping here because I want to deal with the underlined portion of the scripture.)

The four words 'believe in your heart' is the reason why many possess an antichrist spirit.  Let's go deeper, believe means to have confidence in the truth, the existence, or the reliability of something (in this instance Jesus Christ) although without absolute proof that is right in doing so. Now believe is a verb and as we return our thoughts to elementary school we learned that  verbs are used to describe an action.  When one believes in their heart they live like it.  The confession and believing brings about a dying to sin and invites Jesus to take up residency in you.

In 1 Corinthians 6:19 we read, "Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own?"

It is time to remove ANY and ALL excuses because an excuse welcomes in impure spirits.  A spirit that is unclean and the Spirit of God cannot abide together in the same temple.  So if sin still reigns in your mortal body then you are not free from the law of sin and death. (refer Romans 8)  It is important for no one to be ignorant in the knowledge of the things of God.  The day is here where Holy Spirit has to guide us to all truths.  If not, you will find yourself following doctrine that is not sound.  Paul said in Galatians 1 if anyone preach any other gospel let him be an enemy (accursed).

So what is any other gospel?  Any other preaching or teaching that does not have an expectation of perfection, completeness, or wholeness in Jesus.  Other gospels say 'He's still working on me, we all fall short of the glory of God, nobody's perfect, we're all human', and every other reason to hold on to what God says let go of.

*If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit. Galatians 5:25

*Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death; that like as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life. Romans 6:4

*But now we are delivered from the law, that being dead wherein we were held; that we should serve in newness of spirit, and not in the oldness of the letter. Romans 7:6

*…I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life. John 8:12

These are a few scriptures that gives evidence that sin is excluded when we allow the Spirit of God to rule our bodies.  With this being said why are there are many who carry the title "christians", but their lives show no fruit. Jesus said a tree is known by its fruit.  If the tree is good, then its fruit is good or if the tree is bad then its fruit is bad.

Plant a banana tree and look for oranges…you will be looking for eternity to get oranges.  Easily said right?! Then please explain why there are many who expect to reap heaven as their reward and it is evident that their lives DO NOT line up with the Bible.  Ergo, the Spirit of God exits the soul and the spirit of the Antichrist enters in.

So, for the person who says the practiced sin in their life is only a stronghold, it is not a stronghold; it is willful disobedience.  Now, who is the father of disobedience?  Satan!  When a person follows the leading of the enemy he/she is operating in a spirit of the Antichrist.  Now some would say, not so, the truth is a spirit of deception is not only lurking, but has found its way into the soul of individuals who call wrong right and right wrong.  In the book of 1 John 2: 19 & 20 we see that they left the faith, went to do as they wanted, and what they chose proved that they were no longer among the righteous.  When the Holy Spirit is involved the knowledge of the truth is revealed and the spirit of the Antichrist does not hold up against all truths.

In conclusion, we must not only test any spirit by the Spirit, if the spirit is not of God we MUST expose it!
